Don’t get me wrong, this is a fabulous house. But, I seem to have a hard time adjusting. So, I thought I would concentrate on the little things that I absolutely love.
Make-up mirror in my bathroom. I can actually SEE well enough to put on my makeup.
I love the fountain in the backyard. I love that I can hear the soothing water through my open windows.
One of the kitchen cabinets has pull out shelves.
Awesome cupboard with a rack to hold cookie sheets.
Spice rack. David likes this more than I do. It’s a great idea on paper, but it would be better if it were up higher.
Huge bathtub. I’ve spent a lot of time here.
I have a garage to park my Mustang in. In all of my 30 years in Utah, I have never had a consistent covered garage to park in. I had a garage in my house in Lehi, but it was always full of stuff and I couldn’t park inside. Later when my then MIL moved in with us, only half of the garage was cleaned out so she could park her car inside. So, having a spot for *my* car is a big deal. A really, really big deal.
Having all the stash, fiber, yarn, fabric, cross stitch & beads, all in one place. I don’t think this has ever happened before. The space time continuum might be at risk. I have since added bookshelves for all the craft books and magazines.
There are many things I love about the new house, but even now, a month later, I can’t look at pictures of the old house and not cry. I just need more time.
