Gulf Coast Flooding

I’m happy to report that all I hold dear are okay.  Having been glued to the news for the past few days, I am well aware of how fortunate they are. I’m very sad that not everyone can say that. The results of Harvey were devastating. The Gulf Coast took such a beating and it’s still not over. My thoughts are with all those down there that have a long road to recovery and a lot of clean up ahead of them.  The people affected have no need of my knitting so, I’ve taken the time to donate to a charity or two aimed at helping the good folk down there and urge you all to do the same. There are several to choose from.

Prayers for Houston

So many areas I’m familiar with are in trouble. So, far, my family is safe but there are friends and acquaintances down there who are seriously considering evacuating.  My prayers are with all of you.

I’m not a crochet novice

So, this should be easy, right?

Right?

After years of only making granny squares, I’m about to start something a little more complicated. With black yarn, bad eyesight, and a small hook.  What could go wrong?

It’s going to be a journey. Or a descent into madness.
